Experiment Methods

The experiment was performed on three healthy adults who were asked to bathe in an ordinary
40C (104F) hot bath, and a SGE far-infrared ceramic bath at 40C (104F).  Skin surface temperature distribution was measured at 5, 10, 15, 25, and 35 minutes intervals after each bath to compare blood flow changes, using a Thermo Tracer (manufactured by the NEC San-ei Instruments, Ltd.).

Results
As shown in the Tap Water photos (top set of photos), the temperature of the skin surface of the subject's whole body rose, with a drop in temperature 15 minutes after bathing.

The SGE Far-infrared Bath photos show a similar decrease in temperature 15 minutes after bathing. However, 25 minutes after bathing, another increase in the subjectís skin surface temperature
was observed, and sustained 35 minutes after bathing.

Conclusion
Increase in the skin surface temperature is due to vasodilatation of the peripheral blood vessels, which rises immediately in both regular and Super Growth Energy Stone baths. Again in both bath types, the skin surface temperature gradually drops as it is cooled by surrounding room air. 

It is seen however, with the SGE Far-infrared Bath, an increase in skin temperature is in evidence between the 15 minute and 25 minute times. This indicates the influence of SGE far-infrared working on deeper tissues of the body, and transmitting its effects to the outer surfaces of the body and skin. This suggests a beneficial effect of the SGE Bath on the internal organs and tissues as has been shown in clinical studies and applications.
